Canadian Movie Night
Saturday, August 10, 2019
Join the group to watch the movie One Week, a Canadian drama film directed by Michael McGowan and starring Joshua Jackson, Liane Balaban, and Campbell Scott. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2008.

Wicked Grin Trio at The Rabbit Hole in Charlotte

Ottawa-based original roots blues/rock band Wicked Grin Trio is playing at The Rabbit Hole in Charlotte on November 10.  Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.  Interested to know if other Canadians are attending? Check with the Canadian Living in Charlotte Meetup Group.

Music event at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Charlotte

The Consulate General of Canada in Atlanta is collaborating on a signature partnership event with Canadian conductor Dr. Jonathan Govias, Assistant Professor of Music and Director of UNC Charlotte Orchestras. Dr. Govias is spearheading a performance called “Prayer for Peace” at the Booth Playhouse, Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte on November 8 at 7:30pm.
Admission is free.

The performance is characterized as a symphonic remembrance of war, holocaust, and hope, It commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice and the 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht.
